What kind of game is this?

Each round links field exploration and maze survival. Subdue and seal monsters, gather supplies and return to camp. Secretly choose a captured monster to release as a giant in the next phase.

Your chosen monster will not attack you, but other threats will. Decode terminal records to open an escape route. If caught, control your monster and keep playing by hunting survivors.

Your first steps

1. Explore with WASD and mouse. Subdue monsters with left click or Q, hold E to seal them and gather supplies.
2. Return to camp, press F and choose a captured monster. Read species traits and abilities in the codex to anticipate maze threats.
3. Decode records at two terminals to open your personal escape route. Compete across three rounds with combined escape, capture, survival and hunting points.

These are the default controls. If you changed settings or the game was updated, check its built-in help.

Helpful playing tips

• Check sealing costs and traits in the codex before catching. After subduing, hold E to seal; good timing can shorten the process.
• Constant sprinting is not enough in the maze. Break sight with doors and use lures to make time to find records.
• As a monster, Space has a species-specific effect. It is the same key as the survivor dodge, but performs a different action.

Saving and playing together

Where is progress saved?

Solo expeditions, completion records, codex and display settings are saved in this browser. Leaving an online room is handled differently from solo saves, and AI may take over.

Can I play with friends?

Join the same expedition with a friend's six-character room code. Online games keep running in menus and use fixed Normal difficulty.
